Thank you. :-) Have just started on one of my b'day presents, Last and First Men by Olaf Stapledon.

Wait till you get to the bit where world peace is secured through a beautiful woman having sex with the chief negotiators...

One can always hope that they might try such methods in real life!!!

Just as well I didn't skip the first four chapters like Benford suggested in his introduction or I would have missed that. I love how the President justifies his adultery by saying it was necessary to the *world*. Hilarious.

All in all, the book is certainly not without its faults, but still in a class of its own.

I just got off the phone from my Mum - I only just remembered to wish her happy birthday today.

My nephew is right out of luck. Except that he always remembers his granny's birthday, and vice versa.

So, Happy Birthday from me.

(What is it about these three months? I swear that at the end of March, I heave a sigh of relief.)

Cheers!

For me it's August that's chock-a-block with birthdays. There's one week with 5 birthdays of family or close friends in a row.
