Not a very dynamic process

News from one of the peace processes I follow:
New talks on Moldova's rebel region scheduled for 19 April in Moscow

Chişinău, 13 April: A new round of Dniester settlement talks will be held on 19 April in Moscow, Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister and envoy to the Dniester settlement talks Andriy Veselovskyy has told a news conference in Odessa [Ukraine].

Veselovskyy did not rule out that either Moldovan or Dniester representatives will attend the talks.
It's good to hear that he thinks one of the two sides might show up to the talks, isn't it?

Is this sort of the inverse of "what if they held a war and nobody came?"

Now there's a sentence that expresses untold bitterness and cynicism :o)

On an utterly bizarre and unrelated note, I had a terrifying dream involving vampires last night. I had gone to bed directly after reading Richard Matheson's I Am Legend, so it serves me right. After fighting a losing battle against horders of bloodsuckers and feeling that the end was near, I was on the verge of waking myself up to avoid the inevitable when *you* showed up and killed the remaining baddies. My hero!

I do my best, whether in fantasy or reality!

BTW one of my former interns is joining your organisation as assistant desk officer in the MIddle East department (with apparently bits of East Africa as well). So say hi to her when she starts.
