So...
I guess I'm awaiting your comparative evaluation of Dryden and Fagles' versions of Virgil.

I thought Fagles' Illiad was influenced by Logue's "Structural Translations" from the '60's onwards. (Patrocleia, Pax, War Music etc.) Alas I haven't enough Greek to know the original pure Attic. I have yet to attempt Fagles' Æneid, but the original is in a language I am more familiar with, as is the text itself. I'd be interested in your opinion.
