I've not seen Hugo or Source Code (a situation I plan on remedying) but if Captain America wins anything it'll be a bad thing. It's not a bad film, per se, but it caused much unfortunate giggling in allegedly serious scenes.

So has Embassytown been shortlisted for all the awards it is eligible for?

I don't know about all, but certainly for most of the ones I follow.

Having said which, it lost out to The Islanders for the BSFA.
