2010 books poll

Thanks to those who have filled in my unread books poll; this is more of a bit of fun, a tradition started by the librarything community, of listing all the books one has read during the year and seeing who else has read the same ones.

(There's a discrepancy of 10 between the list below and the monthly tallies, mostly due to counting the Bloody Sunday Report as a single entry below but as ten separate volumes while I was reading it.)

Which of these 73 SF books have you read?

Which of these 50 non-sf works of fiction have you read (or in a few cases seen on stage)?

Which of these 66 works of non-fiction have you read?

4(3.2%)

Which of these 71 Doctor Who (and related) books and audiobooks have you read / listened to? (In continuity order, italicising some Doctors for ease of reading)

You have a broken link in this, so I can't click through to submit the poll; it goes to another post entirely.

Slightly baffled by this - seems to have worked OK for 19 people so far, but it may be penalising those whose literary tastes are too similar to mine...

I think it only happens if you admit to having read some of the Doctor Who books toward the bottom. Specifically Apollo 23 for me—so that's twice that book's burned me!

Nope, it's happening to me and I've not read any of those Who books.

Okay, my second theory is...BUNNIES!

Seriously, though, I think the code for the Abnett review went wild and ate the rest of the poll, including the submit button. C'est la vie!

Seconded. Also Mother of Plenty is not an anthology.

Did I say Mother of Plenty was an anthology?

Including one comic one I read in its original serialised form rather than as a collection.

Submit issue here too.

And I was just feeling pleased with myself because I read 81 books this year. Now I feel inadequate all over again.

K, if you go to the poll page itself it seems to let you vote, but still redirects you to the Abnett review post afterwards.

However, after multiple attempts to figure out what's happening, i don't know if it's actually registered all my ticks, I don't think it has but, y'know, five attempts.

I don't think LJ likes these really big polls, haven't tried it on DW since they redid the code over the summer, surprised LJ hasn't upstreamed that though.

Not working for me either, even directly from the poll page. (I checked the answers page to be sure.) :-(

That was odd, but it seems to have recorded properly. Hell, at this point, I just wish I could get all my options to post!

I had the same submit problem as others when using Firefox, but the poll worked fine when I switched to Google Chrome.

Hmm, interesting - of course I tested and re-tested the poll before posting, but used only Chrome rather than any other browser!
