I agree with The Elephant in the Room, and will add some gloss:

For most people, regular cardiovascular exercise will help a lot with 'sleep better'. Strength training too, but you probably aren't going to be doing strength training every day whereas you can do cardio (or indeed circuits) every day. Plus regular cardio makes everything else you do so much more fun.

Refined sugar, yes, but Beware of processed fruit sugar, like juices, cooked fruit and smoothies. I think most fruit is fine provided it's raw and in moderation, and small amounts of processed fruit are fine. Litres of fruit juice are emphatically not.

Perhaps this is the time for a resurgence (or, to be honest, surgence) of Esperanto?
