A couple of people have been looking back at their blog posts on this day over the last five years, so I thought, why not?

15 May 2011: I commemorated the death of Peter Grimwade (among other Whoniversaries), wrote up a Doctor Who audio starring Mary Tamm and quoted Neil Gaiman on Who.

15 May 2010: I gave a grudging yes to the new British coalition government, reported that Northern Ireland's local government reform was to be delayed yet again (it has just been restarted), and reviewed a Hugo-nominated novel that didn't much impress me.

15 May 2009: I complained about twitterbots from British Columbia, reviewed Shakespeare's The Tempest and The Wizard of Oz, and added a thought about the links between the Tin Woodman and the Cybermen.

15 May 2008: I wished my wife a happy birthday (I was in Albania I think), and mourned the demise of the daily RFE/RL news bulletin.

15 May 2007: I reviewed the second volume of Proust's In Search of Lost Time, an Iain Banks novel and an early Doctor Who story.

So, what about you?

15th May 2007: I was offline because lightning took out our router! I posted on 16th though, when I was gardening, playing Connect 4 with smallclanger, and celebrating my birthday.
2008: I posted on 16th but not 15th, when I posted about singing, and celebrating my birthday (er, there's a theme here).
2009: (again, 16th) smallclanger and I played Little Big Planet and then I went to a Eurovision party.
15th May 2010: smallclanger was on day 2 of chickenpox. I didn't post on or about my birthday that year, apparently, just the chickenpox.
16th May 2011: big catchup post, and I was chuffed about my new Folio Society membership.

Today I have had a relaxing day - a glass of wine with one of my oldest friends (from school) who lives up the road now, a lovely dinner cooked by narenek, and now chilling out with more wine. Tomorrow I will be mostly in complete denial. :)

Gosh, so what do you think of the coalition now?

It seems I blog too infrequently in May for this to work for me, must be the lovely weather keeping me away from the keyboard... Just one post from 2007, recording the unearthing of war-time bomb close to where I live.

As it is the anniversary of what is now my failed marriage, recounting what I have done over the last many May 15ths is just too depressing to contemplate.

15th May 2011 - I'd just handed in my corrections for my thesis and was therefore posting long, wired on caffeine posts.

15th May 2010 - I didn't post because I was on my way to Sheffield for the Sheffield Open which went disastrously badly.

15th May 2009 - Sadly no post. I had just enjoyed the Star Trek reboot film, if we go off nearby posts.

15th May 2008 - Again no post, but apparently I was caught up in rugby and hating Reaper, the television show.

15th May 2007 - Still no post (apparently I just don't do the 15th May because I didn't post yesterday either). At a guess, busy with the RL drama I posted about on the 17th of that year.
